•March 1, 2023• by Crystal Reed The Sullivan City Council approved a memorandum of understanding between the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police (IFOP) Labor Council and the City of Sullivan. Commissioner Mike Fowler was absent. Mayor Richard Glazebrook said this is something they are trying to use to keep and not burn out officers. The city is supposed to have nine officers. Sullivan Swimming Co-Op to Compete at State Competition

•February 22, 2023• submitted by Kim Drury Sullivan Swimming Co-Op competed at the IHSA Sectional meet in Champaign on Saturday, February 18th. The boys had a phenomenal day of swimming. Started off with the 200 medley relay taking first place and confirming a trip to the State Competition. Relay members were Ethan Schmohe, Liam Donovan, Isaac Chambers and Matthew Wesselman. Ethan Schmohe in the 100 backstroke took first place, heading to State, plus broke the Sullivan High School record, Champaign pool record and the IHSA Section meet record. Schmohe finished 2nd in the 50 freestyle and swam the state cut. … Read More
