25 Years Ago This Week The Bethany volleyball team ended its regular season on a positive note as they defeated Findlay for third place in the Meridian Conference Tournament. The Fillies made quick work of the Falcons, disposing of them in two games 15-10, 15-0. Bethany ended the regular season with a record of (10-14), (3-1) in the conference, good enough for a second place finish. The Sullivan-Bethany football team finished third in the Okaw Valley Conference after suffering a defeat by Monticello. The Sages beat the Redskins 21-0 in what was a very tough defensive game. Former Director of Prairie Winds Recognized with Plaque

Food Pantry Candy Fundraiser Now Accepting Candy Orders

ALAH School Dist. Receives Highest Financial Score on Budget Audit

The team has won four consecutive championships in the last two seasons, and they have not lost a conference match. Four of the eight players have played in the all-conference as well. SHS Junior Collecting Items for Kemmerer Village for Eagle Scout Project

Aston Johnson has been involved in scouting for almost 10 years and is a member of Boy Scout Troop 142 at Stewardson-Strasburg. To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout a person must have a minimum of 21 merit badges and Johnson has 32. He has titled his project “Welcome Home” A Community Shower. Annual Beef Stew Dinner

Sullivan celebrates America’s 250th

The annual Fourth of July parade kicked off a fun filled day of celebration hosted by the Sullivan American Legion Saturday.  Wyman Park was the next destination for the always entertaining watermelon eating contest, turtle races and sack races. At dusk, an amazing fireworks display capped off the festivities. More photos can be found on page 12.
