Council Approves Pay Estimates

Lovington Native Part of Team Awarded Pulitzer Prize

SOV Lift-a-Thon Results

•August 10, 2022• This year’s SOV Football Lift-a-Thon was a major success hosted at Second Chance Gym. The SOV football athletes have made some huge gains in strength since last year, as a team they lifted 6,745 more pounds than last year’s Lift-a-Thon, and the pound for pound average amongst our athletes jumped up from 2.64 to 3.23 times their body weight. Aian Fryman had the highest total weight of 805 pounds in bench, squat, and clean combined, and also had the highest pound per pound ratio of 4.95. Sullivan celebrates America’s 250th

The annual Fourth of July parade kicked off a fun filled day of celebration hosted by the Sullivan American Legion Saturday.  Wyman Park was the next destination for the always entertaining watermelon eating contest, turtle races and sack races. At dusk, an amazing fireworks display capped off the festivities. More photos can be found on page 12.
