There will be complimentary cocktails, light hors d’oeuvres and giveaways. Shelby Realty started out in 1973 based out of Shelbyville. Owner Matt Forcum purchased the business in December 2020. County Board Approves Amendments to Drafted Amendment for Wind Energy Conversion Systems

•April 20, 2022• by Crystal Reed NP Writer The Moultrie County Board approved amendments to an amendment regarding the zoning ordinance concerning wind energy in the county. Marsha Kirby proposed an amendment regarding wind turbines to take the setback from 1.5 miles to 2 miles of the corporate limits and the setback between turbines from 1,500 feet to 3,000 feet. After this was approved, Kirby added that she wanted the turbines from 1.5 to 2 miles and 1,500 feet to 3,000 from schools. Todd Maxedon proposed another amendment for zero tolerance for noise. •April 20, 2022• Spores ‘n More will be held on Saturday, April 23 from 11 am to 2 pm in Windsor. A meal will be held from 11 am to 2 pm at the Windsor American Legion. Sullivan Nurse Honored

•April 13, 2022• Brett Poorman received the DAISY Award for Nursing Excellence at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Poorman, of Sullivan, is a three-time DAISY Award recipient. He was nominated to receive his most recent DAISY Award by a patient’s family member, hospital officials said. In the nomination form, the patient’s daughter wrote, “Brett was a great comfort to me and my siblings when our father died [following serious illness]. Brett was with my dad, holding his hand, as he passed away peacefully. There are no words to express what that meant to us, knowing our dad was not alone.” … Read More

LLC Foundation Receives Largest Cash Gift to Date

Sullivan celebrates America’s 250th

The annual Fourth of July parade kicked off a fun filled day of celebration hosted by the Sullivan American Legion Saturday.  Wyman Park was the next destination for the always entertaining watermelon eating contest, turtle races and sack races. At dusk, an amazing fireworks display capped off the festivities. More photos can be found on page 12.
