•March 23, 2022• Part-time Lake Land College recently announced that more than 500 part-time students earned academic honors for the 2021 Fall semester. To qualify for the president’s list, a student must have completed six to 11 credit hours in courses numbered 040 or higher per semester, excluding summer term, with a GPA of 3.8 – 4.0. SHS Scholastic Bowl Competes at State

•March 23, 2022• Congratulations to the SHS Scholastic Bowl team for qualifying and competing in the IHSA State Scholastic Bowl Meet this past Friday. The team won the IHSA Class 1A Sectional tournament in Robinson on Saturday March 12th defeating Webber 310-190, Robinson 270-150, and Cumberland 270-250. The championship against Cumberland went to double overtime. Lara Herschberger and Paul Bates came through by answering the tossups to give us the upper hand in the end. Sullivan celebrates America’s 250th

The annual Fourth of July parade kicked off a fun filled day of celebration hosted by the Sullivan American Legion Saturday.  Wyman Park was the next destination for the always entertaining watermelon eating contest, turtle races and sack races. At dusk, an amazing fireworks display capped off the festivities. More photos can be found on page 12.
