Plank named to Dean’s List

•February 23, 2022• Isaiah Christian Plank of Sullivan has been named to the Deans’ List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the fall semester of the 2021-22 academic year. Plank, a senior majoring in computer engineering, was named to the Dean’s List for the College of Engineering. Sullivan Singers Preview 2.0

•February 23, 2022• The Sullivan Singers and Singers Jr. will have preview shows on Saturday, February 26 at 5 pm and 7 pm in the Sullivan High School gymnasium. Monetary donations suggested to Moultrie County Food Pantry. Moultrie County Historical and Genealogical Society Remodeling New Location

•February 16, 2022• by Crystal Reed NP Writer The Moultrie County Historical and Genealogical Society is in the process of renovating their new location, the former site of D&M, on Route 32. Their old location in downtown Sullivan was the fire station. That building housed the museum and offices of the society. However, they began looking for a new location last year because they were running out of museum space. Decatur Audubon Society to hold Zoom Meeting

•February 16, 2022• The Decatur Audubon Society (DAS) invites members and other interested persons to watch online its regular monthly meeting on Sunday, February 20, 2022. Due to COVID –19 resurgence, the DAS board has established a computer link (below) to watch the meeting. Fair Holds Annual Meeting

•February 16, 2022• Moultrie-Sullivan Fair Board held their Annual Fair Board meeting on January 10 at the Moultrie-Sullivan Fairgrounds. 2022 officers were elected. Nick Voegel was elected president, Libby Spannagel as Vice-President, Dale Crawford as Secretary/Treasurer and Ginger Voegel as Public Relations. The Moultrie-Sullivan Fair will be held June 24-25, 2022. The tentative schedule for the fair will be published soon on the website and Facebook page. Improvements and use of the fairgrounds in 2021 were reviewed. Some activities held at the fairgrounds during 2021 were: reunions, auctions, meetings, weddings, and parties. Gov. Pritzker Announces Illinois Plan to Lift Statewide Indoor Mask Requirement on Feb. 28

•February 16, 2022• With statewide COVID-19 hospitalization rates declining faster than any other point in the pandemic, Illinois is on track to lift the statewide indoor mask requirement on Monday, February 28, 2022. Mask requirements will continue where federally mandated, such as on public transit and in high-risk settings including healthcare facilities and congregate care. Masking requirements will also continue to apply in all daycare settings. The state intends to continue masking requirements in P-12 schools subject to pending litigation which impacts a number of schools.
