William Tiberend William (Bill) Tiberend passed away at home Saturday, January 15, after battling cancer for several months. Bill was born July 29, 1940, in Benton, Ill. to Beulah (Doty) and Theodore (Kaiser) Tiberend. He was raised on the farm, which he loved. Bill joined the Navy upon graduation from Benton High School in 1958. After his discharge, he settled in Benton and attended Southern Illinois University. He was married to Marcia (Fields), and they had two sons. He later married Leslie Lundy December 9, 1995. … Read More

Mary Stone Mary Ruth Stone, 89, of Sullivan, passed away at 1:25 a.m. Sunday, January 23, 2022, in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Graveside services were held Tuesday, January 25, at Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan. Memorials may be made to Moultrie County Illinois PAWs, 10 Leisure Acres, Sullivan, IL 61951 or Courtyard Estates Activity Fund. McMullin-Young Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mary was born August 8, 1932, in Mattoon, the daughter of Bert and Blanche (Snapp) Highland.
