LLC To Host Career Day

•September 22, 2021• Lake Land College will host its annual Career Day on Tuesday, October 5. At Career Day, nearly 1,200 high school juniors and seniors come to Lake Land to learn about a variety of careers and how to follow a path to attain those careers. Managing Editor Dan Hagen won second place in Feature Writing for his June 1995 story headlined “Bronze Star Unfaded.” General Manager R.R. Rotary To Turn Sullivan Into Pumpkin Town

•September 22, 2021• The Sullivan Rotary is currently running a fundraiser called Rotary Pumpkin Town. This fundraiser is open to local businesses. For businesses there are two options for $100 you can rent a pumpkin and decorate it yourself or for $200 you can get a fully decorated pumpkin by a Sullivan High School Art Student. Flannell No Longer City Administrator

•September 22, 2021• The city of Sullivan’s council released a statement late last Wednesday afternoon that City Administrator Dan Flannell will no longer be employed by the city. The release said “As of September 15th the City of Sullivan has decided to move the city in a new direction and will no longer require the services of our city administrator, Dan Flannell. The council thanks him for his service to the community and wishes him the best in his future endeavors.” … Read More

Faith Lutheran Church Welcomes Pastor Cullen

•September 22, 2021• Pastor Justin Cullen was born and raised along the Chesapeake Bay in Hampton Roads, Virginia and spent half of his childhood in the city of Hampton before moving to Urbanna, Va. Cullen grew up mainly around extended family (aunts, uncles, and cousins), who still live along the east coast. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mark Lutheran Church (ELCA), Yorktown, Va. and attended an LCA turned ECLA parochial school in Hampton until the third grade.
