Celebration of Life services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan with Rev. Mark Bjornbak officiating. •July 28, 2021• Caysen Harminson and Schafer Ogle, both of Sullivan, are members of the Mattoon Area All Star Team which is part of the Babe Ruth Little League. They recently traveled with the team to Chicago where the team won the Northern Illinois Babe Ruth 13 year old State Championship. Their team played two games, during those games only one run was given up and in the first game there was only one hit. The first game was against Evergreen Park Mustangs and the score was 6-0. Accident At Howy’s Intersection

•July 28, 2021• On Monday, July 26 at 2 pm there was a vehicle accident between a Freightliner box truck and a passenger car at Howy’s intersection. The box truck was westbound on Bruce Findlay Road and stopped at the intersection with Route 32. Then the truck proceeded into the intersection and a passenger car hit the back end of the box truck on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The driver of the passenger car was transported to Sarah Bush with minor injuries. The Moultrie County Sheriff’s Department and Sullivan Fire and Ambulance responded to the scene. … Read More
