2015 The Serve Illinois Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service (Serve Illinois) commended the more than 2.5 million volunteers who made a difference through volunteerism. Illinois volunteers served nearly 275 million total hours, which was valued at 6.8 billion. The Sullivan Redskin football team was honored in the Decatur Herald and Review All Area team selection with a representative on the first team.
