Sullivan Boys Cross Country Places Fourth At Meet

•September 23, 2020• By Jason Brown NP Sports The Sullivan boys’ cross country team entered the Moultrie-Douglas County Meet Saturday and a meet in Mt. Zion last Tuesday. Sullivan place fourth out of five teams with 78 points in the Moultrie-Douglas County Meet. Tuscola won the meet with 32 points, and Okaw Valley placed second with a score of 53. But gradually, the Timberwolves’ teams fielded more runners and became more competitive. And now, even during a pandemic, Okaw Valley is placing runners in top spots at the larger meets. “Together, We Give Back to School”

Sullivan Elementary School recently received 60 backpacks filled with school supplies through Amazon’s “Together, We Give Back to School” campaign. End of the Line Tackle & Bait, an Amazon delivery partner, nominated Sullivan Elementary for the program, and the school’s submission was selected to receive the donation. Pictured (left to right) are Cameron Martin, Taylor Lilly, James Martin, Marla Martin and Angela McRill following the July 27 delivery.
