•May 1, 2019• By Jason Brown NP Sports Editor The Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond softball team no-hit Blue Ridge in back-to-back blowout games last Wednesday then knocked off Arcola Friday to clinch the Little Okaw Valley Northwest Conference championship. Friday against the Riders, ALAH scored a run in the first two innings, but Arcola cut the lead to 2-1 with a run in the third. The Knights scored two runs in the fourth inning, one run in the fifth inning and two more in the sixth to take control for the 7-2 win. Fernandez Martinez shared the various holidays celebrated in Spain and food typically prepared and eaten during these celebrations. Friday OV scored two runs in each of the first two innings for a 4-1 lead. The Broncos scored a run in the top of the fourth inning, but the Timberwolves answered with two runs to extend their lead to 6-2.
