County Has 11 Positive Cases

•May 27, 2020• The Moultrie County Health Department (MCHD) has confirmed the eleventh case of the novel coronavirus-2019 (COVID-19) in Moultrie County. The patient is a male in his 60s and is recovering at home in isolation. Public health officials are contacting all close contacts. To date, 307 Moultrie County residents have been tested for COVID-19. Of those tests, 11 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19. As public organizations and businesses reopen, it is imperative that everyone use precautions to reduce the risk of transmitting COVID-19 infection. IBCA Hall of Famer By Jason Brown NP Sports While the Basketball Museum of Illinois in Elburn is currently closed because of the pandemic shutdown, the Museum’s Twitter account gave a shout out to Sullivan alumnus Amanda Glazebrook. On May 11, the Museum’s Twitter account posted three photos of Glazebrook, who is an IBCA Hall of Famer, with the follow tweet. “During the 1990-91 season, Amanda Glazebrook, playing pt. guard, led Sullivan H.S. to the State Title going 35-0. Landmark torn down



News Progress


The home at the intersection of Route 133 and Route 32 in Lovington was torn down last week. The house had become a major hazard after a box truck struck it, taking out a large portion of the north wall. The owners had the home demolished after it was deemed a public safety issue.
