25 Years Ago This Week The Sullivan and Lovington school districts will receive a total of more than $60,000 in Goals 2000 grants from the state. Sullivan schools receives $6,000 as part of the $600,000 Illinois State Board of Education planning grants program. Sullivan Supt. Richard Voltz indicated the $6000 planning grant was awarded in part because of the district’s involvement in community education. Lovington schools received $55,700 as part of $700,000 worth of implementation grants awarded statewide.
