Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Bethany, with Rev. Ron Newman officiating. Sullivan CUSD #300 Each year, all Illinois school districts are required to have an external audit conducted.  This process was completed this summer with the results being shared at our most recent school board meeting. Once again, I am pleased to report that there were no significant findings that need to be addressed as a result of our annual audit.  There were a number of highlights that I would like to share. Sullivan School District Students Improve Math Skills

•October 30, 2019• By Ariana Cherry for the News Progress The 2018-2019 Audit for the Sullivan School District was approved at the last board meeting. The total of all funds for the September 2019 Treasurer’s report were $12,275,866.86. The balance of the Education fund was $4,786,211.95. Transportation fund was recorded at $1,490,691.26 and the Operations and Maintenance was $1,628,165.36. The board discussed and approved the school improvement plan. A collection of data was shared among board members showing results of the MAP test (Measures of Academic Progress). Blaine lived with Alzheimers Disease for nine years and has donated his body to Science Care Research. Senior Night Win for SHS Volleyball

•October 30, 2019• The Sullivan volleyball team celebrated a win on Senior Night against Tuscola Thursday but then lost in the Class 2A Teutopolis Regional quarterfinals Monday. The loss to the host Wooden Shoes ended the Redskins’ season with an overall record of 9-21 and a 2-5 Central Illinois Conference record. BASO Car Show a success

The Bethany Advocates and Support Organization hosted its annual car show on August 22 at Crowder Park. The perfect afternoon weather bought out 52 entries and many enthusiastic onlookers. Greg Fitzgerald’s 1966 Pontiac GTO took home Best off Show honors.
