The Dine With a Doc® in Sullivan is August 7

•August 1, 2018• Senior Education Ministries, Inc. in partnership with the Sullivan community has scheduled Dine with a Doc ® -Sullivan on the First Tuesday of every month from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Max J. Knight Community Building Banquet Hall at Mason Point. Dine with a Doc® is a free educational program that welcomes the local senior public to getting to hear an educational topic while enjoying a complimentary lunch. Relay for Life Brings Comfort

•August 1, 2018• For more than two decades Moultrie County Relay for Life has helped comfort those fighting cancer. On Friday, August 10 survivors and supporters will gather at Sullivan High School from 5-10 p.m. Moultrie County Relay coordinator Adam McReynolds noted that 14 teams have already signed up and begun their fund-raising efforts. “Right now Moultrie County Pest Control team is leading with $2600 raised,” McReynolds said, noting this year’s goal is $50,000. Blue Dolphins Compete At Regional Championship

For the 14th year in a row the Dolphins have continued to compete at the higher levels. Eleven swimmers competed in the Regional Championship meet in Peoria July 20-22. Mountain Bike Weekend at Lake Shelbyville

•August 1, 2018• The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is partnering with the Lake Volunteers Association, Central Illinois Mountain Bike Association, and the General Dacey Trail Mountain Bike Club to host the First DirtWorx MTB Fest on September 14-16. DirtWorx MTB Fest invites mountain bikers to spend the weekend camping at Coon Creek Campground as they enjoy the trails Lake Shelbyville has to offer, including the General Dacey Trail and Camp Camfield.
