•May 1, 2019• Award winning fiber artist, Sally Manke of Michigan, will present a trunk show Friday, May 17 and a six-hour workshop Saturday, May 18 titled “Landscape Confetti Art Quilt”. Manke is known for styles that create a woodland scene with confetti cut fabrics “painted” on quilt batting. •May 1, 2019• A semester of students following mentors ended with Okaw Valley High School work study/job shadow participants sharing their experiences in the outside world. Program coordinator Bonnie Scott explained to the crowd of 40 gathered at Tailwinds Restaurant in Findlay that the work study students performed tasks for various participating locations. Supt. Kent Stauder commended Scott and principal Matt Schoaff for their commitment to the Okaw Valley’s path to work philosophy for students. “These are partnerships that are important to the kids,” he began, “by offering different paths after high school, whether work, vocational school, military or college.” … Read More
