Okaw Valley Has Big Hitting Day in Sullivan Round Robin

•May 16, 2018• By Jason Brown NP Sports The Okaw Valley softball team finished the week 3-2 with wins over Sullivan, Altamont and Ramsey and losses to Mt. Zion and Neoga. Saturday in the Sullivan Round Robin the Timberwolves defeated Sullivan 13-3. OV scored three runs in each of the first three innings, then scored two runs each in the fifth and sixth innings. Sullivan scored its three runs in the fourth inning when Madison Wall and Alexis Britton put the ball in play, and OV committed an error. OV totaled 13 hits. Sullivan Track and Field Boys Place in Conference Meet

•May 16, 2018• By Jason Brown NP Sports The Sullivan boys’ track and field team placed fifth in the Central Illinois Conference meet last Tuesday and competed in the Shelbyville Open Saturday. In the CIC meet at Macon Sullivan accumulated 70 total points. Jadon Nuzzo took home a conference championship in the pole vault at 14 feet 7 inches. Sullivan Softball Team Heads to Regionals

•May 16, 2018• The Sullivan softball team dropped three games this past week. The Redskins lost to Okaw Valley and Cumberland Saturday and to Mt. Zion last Wednesday. In the morning game in the Sullivan Round Robin Saturday Sullivan lost to Cumberland 15-2. ALAH Students Attend FCCLA State Leadership Conference

•May 16, 2018• The Illinois Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) held the annual State Leadership Conference in Springfield. The conference was held on  April 12-14 at the BOS Convention Center, the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel and the Wyndham Hotel. There were more than 2000 students, advisers and guests in attendance. More than 900 of those students participated in the State Proficiency and STAR Competitive Events. Attendees also had the opportunity to listen to workshop presentations on current topics.
