Although the scoreboard read a 30-point defeat for the Redskins boys’ basketball team Monday night against St. Anthony, not everything was as bad as it seemed.
Sullivan kept the deficit manageable before the fourth quarter, staying within eight points the majority of the way. At the start of the fourth the wheels fell off the wagon.
Bulldogs junior Drew Gibson went on a personal 7-0 run—three layups and a free throw to finish — to start what would end as St. Anthony’s 21-2 run to finish the game. The rest was history thanks to their length and 1-2-2 press defense.
