Kristy Sims, daughter of Tom and Kerrie Sims of Sullivan, was recently named the 1991-92 vocalist for the Elmhurst College Jazz Band.
Matt McClure, a 1988 graduate of Sullivan High School and a senior at Millikin University, is one of seven candidates for homecoming king at the university.
Paul Van Pelt, son of Mary Beth Van Pelt of Lovington, has entered Eureka College as a transfer student. He plans to major in physical fitness leadership.
It took the direction of Tammy Mitchell and the (wo)manpower of three of her teammates to bring Leah Matheson down before she could score a touchdown during the Bethany High School powder puff football game held last Wednesday. Matheson’s “Salty Dogs’ teammates were Tammy Yowell, Tina Perry and Amy White. They finished in last place during the annual event which is held in conjunction with homecoming week in Bethany. Members of the “Rude Dogs” were the winning team.
