The Sullivan School District announced an open house and dedication ceremony for the new elementary school to be held on Sunday, Feb 25. The school district plans on moving into the new facility March 5, less than a year from the beginning of construction. The $5,650,000 total cost included furniture, equipment, landscaping, site development, fees and all construction costs. Sullivan voters approved a $4 million building referendum in March 1994 to build a new 540 student elementary school. The school district added $1,650,000 of cash reserves to build the school. The school contains 24 regular classrooms and seven specialized classrooms.

Sullivan High School art students who are group drawing award winners are: Kristy Roy, Sean Jenkins, Kris Gardner, Ross Haverstock, Ryan Cobb, Steve Green, Mason Isaacs, Amber Probus, Tammy Lambdin, April Weger, Robin Gautier, Jason Fleschner, Kurtis Tull, Neal Ozier and Daniel Lusk.
