Mary Neighbors was the lucky winner of the Valentine’s surprise gift awarded by the News Progress.

Millikin University sophomore, Becky Clayton of Sullivan, leads the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in field goal percentage and is among the league leaders in scoring and rebounding.

Sullivan High School sophomore, Tammy Scott was selected as an All-Star jazz player during the Illinois Wesleyan Jazz Festival in Bloomington.

Students from the Sullivan High School Jazz Band competed at the EIU Jazz Fest. Among those were Stephen Sallee, Tammy Scott, Heather Ernst, Dan Gafford, Zak Horn, Shari Isaacs, Amanda Klein and Jennifer Rogers.      Login or Subscribe to read the rest of this story.
