A local firm has been awarded a $269,617 federal printing contract, according to the office of Congressman Glenn Poshard.
Sullivan Marketing, Inc., 917 West Harrison, Sullivan won the government printing contract for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture materials.
Clyde Drury’s miniature horse, Peewee, was getting a “little chunky” so he began searching for a means to give the 27 inch tall horse regular exercise.
Drury bought a used treadmill, added some sideboards and PeeWee is shedding the pounds. Peewee walks at 3 miles per hour for 45 minutes in the morning and 45 minutes in the evening.
The Sullivan High School Scholastic Bowl team scored second place honors at the Eastern Illinois University Scholastic Bowl Tournament. Members include Meredith Cooper, Andrew Preston, Brianne Bolin, Lance Coil, Casey Matthews, Tony Armstrong, Sarah Eller, Adam Uhlarik, Erica Ozee, Andrew French and Amy Terrell.
