Two features are added to the Sullivan Fourth of July Celebration in 1992. A new carnival, Jackson’s United Shows, opens Tuesday and a pedal tractor pull is added to the weekend festivities. A $5000 gigantic fireworks display rounds out the day’s activities at Wyman Park.
Long time Lovington resident, Wendell J. Dahm, is the village’s first inductee into the Lovington Hall of Fame.
Lovington grocer Bob Aldridge was recognized as Citizen of the Year during presentations at intermission of the Junior Women’s Club “The Return of Almost Anything Goes”.
The Little Theatre on the Square production of Big River with music by Roger Miller, tells the story of Huckleberry Finn’s ride down the Mississippi River.
