New law inspired by local community colleges
A new law spearheaded by State Senator Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet) to create a two-year pilot program to help transition laid-off workers back to work has recently been signed into law by the governor.
“I want to extend a debt of gratitude to our local community college presidents for bringing this idea to me during a meeting at Richland Community College in Decatur. The new law will get people back to work,” Rose said.
