Soyland Access to Independent Living (SAIL) will hold a Personal Assistant Orientation for people interested in working as a personal assistant. The orientation is 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 26 at the Shelbyville SAIL Office located at 1810 W. South 3rd St.

There will be a break for lunch. Personal assistants are employed by people with disabilities to perform household chores and personal care tasks in their homes and are paid by the state of Illinois through the Department of Rehabilitation program.     Login or Subscribe to read the rest of this story.
