Series Showcase Tips for Seniors
•February 13, 2019•
Carriage Crossing Senior Living located at the Green Mill Village development in Arcola is hosting a free educational series on Thursday, February 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Hotel and Suites Convention Center, located at 917 Green Mill Rd. in Arcola.
This free event is a part of the Caring Conversations Educational Series where leading experts in the Senior Living industry discuss purposeful and thoughtful topics that interest seniors, their loved ones and their caregivers. The event will also serve a full supper including fried chicken, mashed potatoes, noodles and dessert.
The speaker for is Cindy Tarrant, a CPA, office manager and Insurance Account Representative for State Farm. With over 40 years of experience with State Farm, Tarrant is a highly trained CPS designation and works with customers, many of whom are seniors, on a regular basis on managing exposures that may impact their financials catastrophically. This includes strategies that grow and protect assets in retirement years.
Prior to opening her own agency in Champaign, Tarrant worked for State Farm Corporate in Finance, Investments and Financial Systems. She fully understands the needs of seniors and their families and the importance of retirement plans. Tarrant’s topic for this event will be “Ways to Effectively Protect Your Retirement Savings from the Costs Associated with Long-Term Care.” This includes addressing the reluctancy to purchase long-term care insurance in fear that your investment will be wasted if one doesn’t end up going to a long-term care facility.
Sponsoring the speaking series is Carriage Crossing Senior Living of Arcola, a leading choice for assisted living and memory care communities. Carriage Crossing has successfully implemented a focus on lifestyle, family and trust with maintenance free living, exceptional farm to table meals, life-enriching opportunities and 24-hour personal care assistance.
The event is free and open to the public. An RSVP is needed to secure space for the dinner. Call 217-268-3516 today to reserve a spot.
