Free throws down the stretch aid Windsor

Free throws are the name of the game in basketball for a reason.
Saturday night, 12 of Windsor’s 22 first half points came from the free throw line, and all of those would prove vital for the Devils in their 68-63 2OT win, upsetting Okaw Valley’s senior night in the process.
“We preach getting to the free throw line, and I think we did a good job of not settling for an outside shot,” said Devils head coach Silas Pogue. “Mitch Haddock and Nick Hutchinson made some in the second half after we didn’t have very many in the first half, but it was a very good night.”
Windsor started the half on a 13-7 run, and Haddock’s lone 3-pointer of the game brought the Devils back to claim their lead 35-34, and the Devils held a 40-38 lead at the end of three. Read More
