SHS Athlete of the Month for October
Sydni Waidelich who was named SHS Athlete of the Month for October. The Athlete of the Month is chosen based on virtues of leadership, work ethic, academic achievement, service, and treatment of other students and players. Winners receive $20 in Sullivan Chamber Bucks and a certificate. “Sydni consistently has a great work ethic both on and off the court. I have never seen her have a poor attitude with herself or her teammates. In tough, pressure situations on the court she keeps her composure and encourages her teammates. For the last part of the season she was out sick for about a week. When she came back, she stayed on top of her school work and hopped right back into the volleyball routine. Sydni is a great role model for younger aspiring volleyball players. She is the definition of a great student-athlete!” Coach Davis said.
