The Sullivan Redskins were down 21-0 in the first half when things started happening against the St. Teresa Bulldogs Friday night.
It started with Pierce Bradford returning a St. Teresa kickoff into Bulldog territory.
This was followed by a Ty Molzen pass to Jake Eaton.
That’s when St. Teresa started helping their Sullivan opponents out with a series of penalties moving the Redskin ball 20 yards closer to the goal.
A Bulldog personal foul followed by a pass interference call set Molzen up for another completion. This time he connected with Alec Ballinger at the five yard line.
Another pass interference call against St. Teresa left the Redskins with a first and 10 situation just yards away from the goal line.
In spite of a stubborn Bulldog defense which plagued Sullivan’s running game all night, the Redskins found a way to get through.
Molzen handed the ball to Jake Eaton who carried the ball into the end zone for the first Redskin score of the night.
