The No. 4 seeded Okaw Valley boys’ basketball team placed third in the 33rd annual Dieterich Holiday Tournament, and Jared Bunfill earned all-tournament honors this past week.

OV was in Pool A with Christ Our Rock, Cowden Herrick-Beecher City and Newton.

In the tournament the Timberwolves defeated Christ Our Rock Lutheran, Cowden Herrick-Beecher City and Arcola but lost to Newton.

To take third place, OV defeated Arcola last Thursday.

OV doubled Arcola in the first quarter 8-4, and then added four more points to its lead to take a 19-12 half time lead.     Login or Subscribe to read the rest of this story.
