Veteran’s celebrated with song

Parents, Guardians and Veteran’s filled the gym floor and bleachers to watch the students perform the songs they had been practicing just for the Veteran’s.

Veteran’s Day celebrates those who have served in the defense of the United States and for those who passed fighting for us. The holiday dates back to 1918, the end of World War I, when Former President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed November 11th as the first commemoration of Armistice Day. In honor of those who have served, Sullivan Elementary School performed a song set-list for parents, teachers and local Veteran’s, singing patriotic songs from history such as “God Bless the USA”.
