Titus Manor in Sullivan will host an after Christmas Holiday Housewalk 2-4 p.m. Sunday December 29. The walk is meant for the public to attend and enjoy the seasonal decorations before they are dismantled as well as help in celebrating the upcoming new year. Staff will be serving sparkling grape juice and snacks to celebrate the occasion, and door prizes will also be available upon registration.

As required by Section 200/9-15 of the Property Tax Code, Moultrie County Chief County Assessment Officer, Cindy Kidwell, advises that she will be holding her annual meeting with the Moultrie County township and multi-township assessors at 9 a.m. Monday, December 30 in the Moultrie County Board Room, second floor of the Moultrie County Courthouse, located at 10 South Main Street in Sullivan. The purpose of this meeting is to consult with and instruct the assessors in the uniformity of their functions. The meeting is open to the public.
The Moultrie County Historical and Genealogical Society will close at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 21 and will reopen at 1 p.m. Monday, January 6.
Sarah Bush Lincoln’s Mobile Mammography Services will be at the Moultrie County Beacon in Sullivan Jan. 9 and the SBL Sullivan Clinc Jan. 13.
The mobile mammography van helps provide mammograms to women who may not otherwise have access to, or be able to afford, these life-saving preventive screens. Women who qualify will receive their mammogram free.
Staffed by technologists from the Sarah Bush Lincoln Mammography Department, the mobile mammography van provides digital mammography technology, the same quality services found at the health center. All staff members are certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and are further certified in mammography.
Blood tests for cholesterol and glucose screenings will be available at all county health department clinics only, courtesy of WomenConnected.

The OV School District released an updated tournament bracket Thursday, December 19. The change includes eliminating day three competition (Friday) and making the tournament a three-day tourney, as opposed to its original four.
