Pictured above is The Armour Creameries in Sullivan. It was founded in 1935 when the Isaac brothers bought out Sullivan Dairy & Bottling Co. The photo was taken in 1935 of the original 25 employees. Pictured above is Desio Barbetti behind his meat counter which was located on State Street in Lovington around 1915. Barbetti went to Lovington to work in the coal mine but found that his calling was the grocery, restaurant and meat business. Barbetti had his store next to the old grade school. After this school was closed it was moved to West State St. in Lovington and was used as the Southern Baptist Church until they built their new church home on Spfd. Road in Lovington.
