I’ve Lost the Great Space Debate

For those of you who think journalists give little thought to the words we choose, I say we certainly do — and we even have long conversations debating the spaces between them.
No, I’m not talking about reading between the lines but rather whether there should be a space between “a” and “while.”
I started out this morning as always checking my overnight email.
Neil Holdway, who runs our night operation, had come up with a design for a weekend front page. Over a Burt Constable column was the headline “Yes, masks will be around awhile.”

GriefShare sponsored by First Christian Church, Sullivan, will be held at the church Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. through May 31.
Each session includes a time to share thoughts about the previous week’s learning, new material delivered via an approximately 40-minute video, and a discussion of the main ideas in the video. Windsor Students of the Month
Windsor Jr./Sr. High School recently announced their February Students of the Month Caden Musgraves and Seth Rincker.
Caden is the son of Darrin and Tanaya Musgraves. He is currently a freshman and is in Scholastic Bowl and FFA. He plans to one day become a surgeon.
Seth is the son of Mike and Laurie Rincker. He is currently an 8th grade student. He is involved in Basketball, FFA, and Scholastic Bowl.

New royalty to be crowned
The Moultrie-Douglas County Fair Pageant will be held Monday, July 27th at 6:00 p.m. for Little Miss Fair Queen and 7:00 p.m. for Miss and Junior Miss Fair Queen located at the south track on the Mo-Do Fairgrounds. Vying for the title of Miss Moultrie Douglas Fair Queen are: Abigail Meyer of Tuscola, Addee Mulligan of Arcola, Sarah Rogers of Atwood, Ava Whitson of Tuscola, Addisyn Wilson of Villa Grove, Emma Spillman of Tuscola, Aymara Leal of Arcola and Katilyn Kirby of Sullivan.
