Lehmans exhibit Reserve Champion pair
Rhett and Ellie Lehman, of Sullivan, recently exhibited the Reserve Champion Cow-Calf Pair at the Illinois Junior Hereford Preview Show with Perks Cato 5049 Cady 1124 and her January 2024 bull calf RL JEL 1124 201 Silver Oak 402. Rhett and Ellie are the children of Jamie and Erica Lehman.

Sullivan Civic Women’s Club officers
New 2024-25 officers were installed for the Sullivan Women’s Civic Club. Officers include treasurer Cindy Richardson, secretary Kathy Denham, vice president Beth Wood, president Sonya Best. A new session starts in August. The group is always looking for new members so contact any one of the officers for more information.
Pancake breakfast
The Lovington Volunteer Fire Department held their pancake and sausage breakfast Saturday as part of Lovington Junefest.

Poppys Day
The Sullivan American Auxilary was set up Friday at Kirby Foods selling poppies. Each year millions of Americans wear little red poppies in memory of those who have died in all wars and to assist in the rehabilitation of those Veterans who are now hospitalized suffering from wounds and illness. All school track meet
Sullivan Elementary School kids competed in an all school track meet at Victory Field Thursday after school. Students competed in the softball toss, sprints and long jump, as well as other events. Pictured above is 4th grader Mia Martin. More photos are on our website at www.newsprogress.com

Northern Lights
Last Friday night, photographer Zach Brewer posed his son Finn and Nephew Oakley Denton with the Northern Lights filling the sky behind them about a mile north of Sullivan.
Windsor High School Prom
Windsor High School’s Junior Class will be hosting Prom on Saturday, May 4th at Front Street Event Center in Gays from 7:30 to 10:30pm. Coronation will be held at 8:00pm. The community is invited to attend the coronation.

Spring concert
The Sullivan Elementary School Children’s Choir, 6th grade choir, Sullivan Singers Jr. and Sullivan Singers held their spring concert Wednesday, April 17 at the SHS gymnasium. The groups were led by Heather Pistorius, middle school and high school vocal music director and Courtney Leach, elementary school music director. The musicians were accompanied by Kelly Sullivan.
