Funeral services for Norma Jean Erwin, 84, of Shelbyville were held at noon Tuesday in First Christian Church in Shelbyville with the Rev. Kevin Ray officiating. Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan. Arrangements were by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville.
She died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday Dec. 20, 2014 in Heritage Health in Pana.

Melba Strong
After a short illness, Melba Cochran Strong passed away Dec. 1, 2014 in Plano, Tex. She was born Dec. 25, 1936 in Sullivan to Grant and Ethyl Collins Cochran, the youngest of 13 children. She was the granddaughter of 6th Circuit Judge Oscar Cochran and great-granddaughter of 6th Circuit Judge/Illinois Speaker of the House William Granville Cochran. She was always very proud of her family heritage and of growing up in Sullivan.

The funeral service honoring the life of Margaret Campbell “Maggie” Hollowell, 81, of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Charleston was held at 11a.m. Tuesday in Wesley United Methodist Church in Charleston, with the Reverend Dr. Robert Swickard officiating. Burial followed in Roselawn Cemetery in Charleston. Arrangements were by Harper-Swickard Funeral Home in Charleston.
She passed away peacefully Sunday, November 30, 2014 in her home in Scottsdale surrounded by family and friends.
