The Arthur softball regional championship was changed from Saturday to Thursday this past week to avoid bad weather Saturday. The change did not affect the Knights who rained 10 runs on two-time defending regional champion Okaw Valley for a 10-1 victory, setting up a matchup against Cumberland in the sectional semi-finals in Bethany.

Sisters Reagan Miller and Mycaela Miller both went yard—the younger Reagan with a three-run shot to left field in the first and Mycaela with a grand slam in the sixth—to keep the family home run race tied.

Kristen Corum added a home run of her own and two RBIs.

The long ball was not the only method of scoring employed by the Knights.

Senior Logan Kauffman was 3-4, and Marissa Herschberger was a perfect 4-4 with three doubles. Taylor Powell added a double as well to help Shelby Frederick improve to 15-1 on the year.  Read More

•May 17, 2017•

Okaw Valley and Paris high school baseball players dusted off their uniforms following the May 5 game in Bethany and went to work for a great cause.
