ALAH FFA Alumni Chapter Holds Annual Meeting

The Arthur-Lovington / Atwood-Hammond FFA Alumni Chapter held their annual meeting August 5 at the Harris Agricultural Museum in Atwood.  Since forming July 30, 2013, the ALAH FFA Alumni Chapter added 25 new members with 13 of those joining as life members. The chapter has had a busy first year creating awareness for the FFA and Ag Ed program in the school district. The chapter plans to serve pork chops for the upcoming Homecoming festivities and CIBR – BBQ Festival and will host a trap shoot later in the year.  Read More

53rd Annual Arthur Mennonite Relief Sale August 22, 23

The 53rd Annual Arthur Mennonite Relief Sale will be held August 22 and 23 at the Otto Center, located a half mile south of Arthur.

Sullivan Rehabilitation & Health Care Center Receives 5-Star Rating

Petersen Health Care announced that Sullivan Rehabilitation & Health Care has earned the five-star quality rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which signifies a “much above average” rating.

Five stars is the highest and most respected rating a nursing home can receive and is based on health inspections, staffing, and quality measures. Read More

Fifth Annual Masonic Lodge Golf Outing Sat.

The fifth annual George A Sentel Masonic Lodge Golf Outing will be held this Saturday, August 16 at the Sullivan Country Club. Tee off will be at 9 a.m., and it is a shotgun start, best ball event. Sullivan Chamber Adds New Mobile App for Members

The Sullivan Chamber & Economic Development is hoping new technology will serve as a benefit for their existing 200 members and a way to attract more members to join the organization.

The SCED now has a mobile application for smartphones that allows members to manage their online profiles and visitors to look up information about Sullivan and the chamber members.  Read More
