Joyce E. Marquis Joyce E. Marquis, 82, of Lovington, passed away, 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Mason Point, Sullivan. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Lovington. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service, at the funeral home in Lovington, the family requests casual attire. Burial will be in Keller Cemetery, Lovington. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Joyce was born February 10, 1935, in Kennett, MO, the daughter of Finis and Ruth J. (Moore) Bailey. She married John G. Marquis, Jr. on February 14, 1955, in San Bernardino County, CA; he preceded her in death on November 29, 2016. She was a member of the Lovington Church of God, she was a member of the Niantic-Harristown PTA and drove a bus for that school district. She is survived by her sons, Guy A. Marquis of Lovington, Rock L. Marquis of Lovington and John G. Marquis III of Lovington. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. James H. “Jim” Anderson went to his Heavenly Home Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 11 in Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Burial followed in the Pleasant Prairie Indian Cemetery located in Pleasant Grove Township.
Jim was born May 31, 1938 in Cumberland County, Illinois, a son of the late Delbert Lee and Hollis Tate Anderson. He married Bertha Ann Gilbert May 26, 1957, and they have celebrated 60 years of marriage. In addition to his loving and devoted wife, left to cherish his memory are sons Ed Anderson and wife Carol of Mt. Pulaski, Illinois and Jason Todd Anderson and wife Jodi of rural Charleston; grandchildren Maggie Anderson, Jaden James Anderson, Alexis Anderson and J.W.
