Charles David Drake

Charles David Drake, 75, of Sullivan, passed away 4:37 a.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Sullivan.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the services Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society: P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.

David was born October 20, 1948, in Sullivan; the son of Cecil G. and Mary Lucy (Frederick) Drake. He married Sheila Wilhelm on August 7, 1971, in Sullivan; she preceded David in death on January 18, 2012. He enjoyed playing in the Kirksville band 2+2 and wood working.

He is survived by his sisters, Nancy Glick of Sullivan and Jackie Guin of Sullivan; nephew, Bret (Cindy) Guin of Sullivan; niece, Kristin (Terry) Hargrove of Sullivan; dear friends, Glen and Jane Bolin, Alan and Ruth Bolin, Bill and Shirley Lindley, Duane and Kim Voegel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
