25 Years Ago This Week Sullivan paramedics were on scene to treat Bethany residents Jonathan Moody and M. Louise Marshall after a head-on collision on route 121. Both were treated at St. Mary’s Hospital. Cindy Haegen, George Rutledge and Linda Carlton were elected new board members of the Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce. Patti Ketchmark, owner of D&M, was inducted in as the new chamber president. Bethany fell to the number two seed, Findlay, in the Meridian Conference Tournament. Yost Appeal Returns Case to Moultrie County
•February 13, 2019• Michael S. Yost was sentenced to 75 years for the 2015 murder of Sheri Randall in 2016; at 11:00 a.m. March 7 that case returns to Moultrie County. On Jan. 8 an Illinois Appellate Court decision determined cause for a Krankel hearing before the honorable judge Hugh Finson on that date in Moultrie County Circuit Court. Lakeview College of Nursing Honors Carolyn Rauch
•February 13, 2019• Lakeview College of Nursing recently honored one of their faculty members with a new award. Carolyn Rauch of St. Joseph received the Flame Award at the College’s recent White Coat Ceremony. Rauch, who is an assistant professor at Lakeview College of Nursing, has been with the College since 2005. She is the first recipient of this new award.
