Students interested in participating in the Classroom Mentor program complete an application and go through a selection process. For those who are selected, students spend about 40 minutes daily in an elementary school classroom. These students provide assistance to both teachers and students. Employees show generosity •September 19, 2018• Children visiting the Moultrie County Courthouse are getting free stuffed animals thanks to the generosity of those working in the county offices. Sullivan Boys Golf Team: State Playoff Bound

The Redskins have won two regionals out of the last three years and three Central Illinois Conference championships in the last four years. To the Editor: It had to have been somebody in an urban area, probably Chicago, who proposed the Illinois vehicle mileage tax. Probably everybody has heard about the VMT by now, but if enacted there would be a device in your car to measure how many miles you drive, and you would be taxed 1.5 cents per mile. Sullivan Home Part of Illinois Solar Tour

•September 19, 2018• By Reddy Kilowatt for the News Progress Mike Fowler installed solar panels two years ago and on Saturday, Sept. 22 his Sullivan home will be part of the Illinois Solar Tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. when solar energy users from all over the state open their homes for the public to learn about renewable energy. The statewide tour including 200 locations is coordinated by the Illinois Solar Energy Association.
