I have to admit that I have not seen one in many years, and I do not recall ever receiving one. However, I do recall my grandparents receiving a couple of telegrams concerning the deaths of close relatives who lived in other states. At the Thursday, Sept. 13 meeting website adhoc committee chair Neil Bryan recommended approving the $10,900 website update proposal from government website developer Revize. Barbara Brock Barbara Lou Brock (née Graham), 73, of Arthur passed away at 4:35 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family after a hard-fought cancer battle. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 20 from 4-7 p.m. and from 10-11 a.m. at the Arthur Southern Baptist Church with the funeral at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 21 also at the church with the Rev. 25 Years Ago This Week Sullivan High School junior Tony Armstrong has been appointed to the Student Advisory Council to the Illinois State Board of Education. Armstrong plans to voice his concerns about the increase in drug and alcohol use by high school students. He feels that teachers need to be more inspirational and be able to involve students who don’t want to be involved. Lynn Maxedon has announced his candidacy for Moultrie County Sheriff.
