•November 9, 2016• Angie Springman has been a lifelong resident of central Illinois. She grew up in Atwood, then moved to Mt. Zion, where she met her soulmate Rob Springman. They later married and had two children, Ryan and Jessica and moved their young family to Lovington where they spent many years. While maintaining her role as mom and military wife, Angie remained very active in her community as a selfless volunteer. Buxton, the owner of Scotty B’s, lost a leg to diabetes complications recently, and friends and family in Bethany are pitching in to help defray the expenses connected with his hospital stay and recovery. In a sectional also comprised of powerhouses St. Thomas More and St. Joseph-Ogden, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond drew Tri-Valley, a team with two losses on the season, one of which came at the hands of SJO. The Vikings sported arguably the most menacing hitter of the whole sectional in 6’2” junior Hannah Clayton, along with a couple other players taller than anyone on the Knights’ roster, but the Knights made things interesting.
