Lovington Ready for Harvest Celebration

•October 12, 2016• Lovington ’s community garden has had a bountiful year with the village board giving approval for a Fall Harvest Celebration on Saturday, October 15. Paul Chambers said the family oriented event will be at the park from 3-10 p.m. where a wiener roast is planned. Other events include pumpkin carving and rides for the kids. The board approved the LRC request for the Fall Harvest Celebration provided precautions were taken with the fire pit. Shelbyville Cross Country Teams Win at Tabor

•October 12, 2016• Sullivan Okaw Valley Cross Country teams celebrated their Senior Day meets at Tabor Park October 4. Shelbyville won the ladies’ team top spot with 20 points. SOV ladies were second with 40 points and Tuscola third, posting 67 points. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond and Villa Grove completed the ladies’ team participation. Sullivan boys’ cross country team ended up third with 66 points, following second place Tuscola with 63 points and Shelbyville, who finished first, with 40 points. … Read More

Dove Candlelight Ceremony

•October 12, 2016• Dove invites you to join them for the 16th Annual Candlelighting Ceremony. At this service, we will mourn those who have suffered and died through domestic violence and celebrate with the survivors and those working to end the abuse. This ceremony takes place in October as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The ceremony will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church, 216 W. ALAH FFA Competes in Section 17 Land Use Career Development Event

•October 12, 2016• By Katie Gingerich ALAH FFA Reporter The section 17 FFA Land Use Career Development Event was held  September 20 at Allerton Park near Monticello. Eight Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond FFA members participated in the CDE including Veronica Chambers, Adam Day, Katie Gingerich, Makenna Green, Adam Hingson, Taylor Powell, Griffin Rose, and Koby Stutzman.
