Avoid Possible Long Lines •October 12, 2016• The last day to register to vote has passed; however, it’s not too late to vote in this election by taking advantage of Grace Period Registration and Voting in the county clerk’s office. This method of registration is available only in the county clerk’s office, 10 S. Main in Sullivan, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and runs from October 12 through election day. Sullivan Middle Schooler Plays Ball at Sloan Field

•October 5, 2016• Sullivan middle school student Dominick Kimberlin plays in the Junior All American games at the Chicago Cubs training camp in Mesa, Ariz. this weekend. Kimberlin, who plays first base, received his invitation to play, along with hundreds of other student baseball players from 16 states and Canada, during a Game Day USA event last summer. Dominick was playing with the Central Illinois Heat of Mattooon in the Game Day event in Champaign. The senior center offers advocacy for seniors, Medicare/Medicaid counseling, legal aid, transportation, and is also a site for Peace Meals hosted by Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
