•May 25, 2016• The Arthur-L/Atwood-Hammond Knights softball team under head coach Jerry Lane ended the season with a 14-10 record, following Regional tournament play at Catlin-Salt Creek. Macy Hollingsworth pitched 69 innings for the Knights with a 6-5 record and 4.77 ERA. She allowed 73 runs, 114 hits, of which 16 were doubles, three triples and a home run, while fanning 16 players. Shelby Frederick pitched 53 innings for the Knights with a 5-6 record and 3.96 ERA. •May 25, 2016• Moultrie County has been issued a final property assessment equalization factor of 1.0000, according to Constance Beard, Director of the Illinois Department of Revenue. The property assessment equalization factor, often called the “multiplier”, is the method used to achieve uniform property assessments among counties, as required by law. This equalization is particularly important because some of the state’s 6,600 local taxing districts overlap into two or more counties (e.g. school districts, junior college districts, fire protection districts).
