2015 The 2015 queens that were crowned March 28 were Jr. Miss Lovington Kenli Nettles, daughter of Ryan Nettles and Christi Yielding and 2015 Little Miss Lovington Morgan Casteel, daughter of Brock and Erica Casteel. Outgoing queens were 2014 Jr Miss Lovington, Natalie Lambdin and 2014 Little Miss Lovington, Halle Wardrip. Sparrow’s Unlimited Inc. once again gave away bikes to children during the Lovington Easter egg hunt at Tom Conn Park. Atwood Police Chief Duncan guest speaker •April 9, 2025• Wednesday, April 3, was the first meeting of the year for the MCRTA (Moultrie County Retired Teachers Association). Twenty-five members attended the meeting at the United Church of Atwood. President Vickie Newberry opened with the Pledge and conducted the business meeting. Membership milestone awards were presented for 5, 10, 20, and 30 years of retirement. Six, 2025, Moultrie County new retirees were announced. The Moultrie-Douglas County Fair Pageant will be held Monday, July 27th at 6:00 p.m. for Little Miss Fair Queen and 7:00 p.m. for Miss and Junior Miss Fair Queen located at the south track on the Mo-Do Fairgrounds. Vying for the title of Miss Moultrie Douglas Fair Queen are: Abigail Meyer of Tuscola, Addee Mulligan of Arcola, Sarah Rogers of Atwood, Ava Whitson of Tuscola, Addisyn Wilson of Villa Grove, Emma Spillman of Tuscola, Aymara Leal of Arcola and Katilyn Kirby of Sullivan.
