2015 A Sullivan man was brought up on preliminary first-degree murder charges Tuesday afternoon in connection with the death of a 43-year-old woman on March 4. On Route 133 between Lovington and Arthur, power poles fell as a result of the storm systems that hit central Illinois in two waves on Wednesday, June 17th. These storms left many without power and caused widespread damage throughout the area, including confirmed tornado touchdowns in nearby counties.
