Athletes compete at Invitational

•March 19, 2025• A small group of Sullivan High School boys track athletes competed at the 66 team EIU Indoor Invitational on Saturday, March 8.  Earning points at the meet were Johnny Iaccobazzi taking sixth place in the 1600 meters with a time of 4:37.31 and the 4×200 Relay team of Aian Fryman, Christian Ozier, Mason Booker and Deaiden Arnold racing to eighth place with a time of 1:37.57. His grandfather, who farmed before herbicides, left him clean fields. 2015 Jackson Family of Dealerships once again made a monetary and equipment donation recently to the Sullivan Youth Baseball League, including bags, batting tees, and shirts. UPS had announced 86 elite drivers from Illinois were among 1,445 newly inducted worldwide into the Circle of Honor, an honorary organization for UPS drivers who have achieved 25 or more years of accident-free driving. On Route 133 between Lovington and Arthur, power poles fell as a result of the storm systems that hit central Illinois in two waves on Wednesday, June 17th. These storms left many without power and caused widespread damage throughout the area, including confirmed tornado touchdowns in nearby counties.
